2. General Information
The protection of personal data is of great importance to us. We process the personal data of the users of this website exclusively within the framework of the applicable data protection provisions. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify a natural person.
This Privacy Policy informs you of the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data in connection with visits to this website. Information on data processing in the context of the contractual operation of the Cockpit is governed separately in the data processing agreement and the contractual documents.
Legal Bases for Processing
Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing operations, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis. For processing to perform a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. Where processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis. For the fulfillment of legal obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.
3. Server Log Files
When you access this website, the provider automatically collects information and stores it in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are generally:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Date and time of the server request
- IP address (generally shortened / anonymized)
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of its website. The log files are stored only for as long as is necessary to ensure secure operation and are then deleted or anonymized.
4. Cookies and Consent
This website uses cookies and comparable technologies only to the extent they are technically necessary or you have previously given your consent. Services that are not technically necessary (see the Web Analytics section) are only loaded after your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, TDDDG).
To store your decision in the consent banner, we place a technically necessary entry in the local storage (localStorage) of your browser. It serves exclusively to remember your selection, is not transmitted to us or to third parties, and can be deleted by you at any time via your browser settings. After deletion, the banner will be displayed again and you can make your decision anew; this also gives you the ability to revoke consent given, with effect for the future.
4a. Web Analytics with Google Analytics 4
Provided you have agreed via the consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is transmitted to Google.
Google Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated (including a shortened IP address, pages visited, time spent, browser used, and device type) is generally transmitted to and processed on Google's servers; this may involve a transfer to the USA. IP anonymization is activated; your IP address is shortened before storage. Google Signals and advertising features are deactivated.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. The basis for the transfer to the third country USA is the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, supplemented by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Google. The retention period for the analytics data is 14 months.
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting this website's localStorage in your browser settings and answering the banner again with "Only necessary." Further information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Contact
If you contact us by email, via a contact form, or to arrange a demo, the data you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass this data on without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your request is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations preclude this.
Demo form (Netlify Forms). For the demo form, we use Netlify Forms, a service of our hosting provider Netlify, Inc. (USA). The information you enter (name, email address, number of fulfillment customers you manage, optionally company and phone, and your message) and, if you accessed the page via an advertisement, a QR code, or a promotional link, the campaign parameters contained in the accessed address, are processed via Netlify and delivered to us, whereby a transfer to the USA (a third country without a general level of adequacy) may take place. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by submitting the form, and Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR for the transfer to a third country; supplemented by Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR for the processing of your request. Alternatively, you can send us your inquiry informally by email at any time. You may revoke your consent with effect for the future.
6. Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. The use of the hosting provider serves our interest in a secure, fast, and reliable provision of this website, based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Hosting provider:
Netlify, Inc.
512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA
When hosting via Netlify, a transfer of personal data to the USA may take place. To the extent necessary for the provision of hosting, a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the provider; the basis for the transfer to a third country is the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Rights of Data Subjects
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the following rights as a data subject:
- Right to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to revoke consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise these rights, an informal notification to the controller named above is sufficient.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR.
Objection to Promotional Emails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published in the context of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending promotional and informational material not expressly requested. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited promotional information being sent.
8. Right to Amend This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adjust this Privacy Policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services in the Privacy Policy. The version in force at the time of your renewed visit to the website shall then apply.
